Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ President Elected to the Career Education Colleges and Universities Board of Directors

Pittsburgh, PA- Timothy J. McMahon, President of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Group, has been elected as an Education Member to the Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU) Board of Directors. McMahon will begin his 2-year term on July 1, 2018.

The CECU Board of Directors plays a vital role on behalf of nearly 500 member schools in the governance of the Association, from developing legislative and regulatory strategies, to overseeing educational and training programs, to ensuring financial and administrative strength. The CECU Board of Directors oversees the programs and policies that represent the best interests of the students, institutions, faculty, and administrators. CECU is located in Arlington, Virginia, they equip millions of students from diverse social and economic backgrounds with access to career-focused learning and the job skills they need for a successful future. CECU members provide students who take different paths to higher education with opportunities unavailable to them at traditional colleges.

Mr. Tim McMahon is President and Chief Operating Officer of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Group with corporate offices in Pittsburgh, PA.  Mr. McMahon is responsible to direct all operations of the corporation including its six, ACCSC accredited, degree granting technical schools which are located in Pittsburgh, Erie, Greensburg, DuBois, Sunbury, and Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Mr. McMahon leads a management team that is responsible for fiscal operations, human resources, management information systems, advertising and communications, admissions, career advising and student financial aid throughout the Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ Group.
Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ has been providing post-secondary technical training for 74 years. In 2017, Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ was named to the first- ever Forbes Magazine List of Top 30 Two-Year Degree Trade Schools in the nation.

Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ offers Associate in Specialized Technology Degree Programs in CADD with Additive Manufacturing and 3-D Printing Technology; Maintenance Electricity and Construction Technology; Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Technology; Welding and Fabrication Technology; and Carpentry and Construction. Âé¶¹´«Ã½Ó³»­ is licensed by the State Board of Private Licensed Schools, Pennsylvania Department of Education, and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Career Schools and Colleges.
